NON-STICK COATINGS

Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is a synthetic fluoropolymer which finds numerous applications. PTFE has an extremely low coefficient of friction and is used as a non-stick coating for pans and cookware. Also, PTFE is a chemical resistant coating that is used in containers and pipes for reactive and corrosive chemicals. Non-stick coating types range from Xylan coatings, Halar coatings, PFA coatings, Emralon coatings and Kynar chemical resistant coatings. AZ Custom Coatings offers a non-stick PTFE coating for any application type needed. INTERNAL ENGINE COATINGS

AZ Custom Coatings provides high performance coatings for piston skirts that will reduce friction, prevent piston skirt scuffing and extends piston ring seal life. Applying high performance coatings on the crankshaft and transmission gears reduces rotational mass. Basically, when an uncoated crankshaft or gears rotate they pick up oil that sticks to the uncoated parts then the part grows in size and weight which causes loss of horsepower. High performance coatings work excellent for the military, aerospace and all racing industries.

DRYFILM LUBRICANTS

High performance dryfilm lubricants provide a lubricating film that reduces friction, galling, seizing and in some instances can aid in dispersing heat. Dryfilm lubricants are slippery and provide an extremely low coefficient of friction. Reducing friction improves wear, extends part life and frees up horsepower normally lost to friction. Applying dryfilm lubricants to high performance parts reduces part operating temperatures. Dryfilm lubricants can reduce oil temperature 15-30 degrees which could allow using thinner oils. Thinner oils offer less drag and can increase horsepower. Coating intake and exhaust valve stems, valve springs, cams, shafts, rocker arms, push rods, lifters, pistons, engine bearings, transmission gears, differential gears, hydraulic fittings, seat belt mechanisms, fasteners, cables, and slide mechanisms are excellent for these coatings.

CERAMIC COATINGS

High Temperature ceramic coatings are proven to increase horsepower and are often referred to as exhaust coatings, header coatings or high heat coatings. Ceramic coatings are a thermal barrier coating that keeps the heat in your header where it belongs. It is known that a ceramic coated header can reduce under hood temperatures by as much as 200 degrees °F. This means your expensive plug wires, valve cover gaskets, plastic parts, hoses, wiring, or anything else that is affected by extreme heat lasts longer. AZ Custom Coatings high temperature ceramic will withstand temperatures up to 2000 °F. Thermal barrier ceramic coatings are very durable and protect against chipping, corrosion, rust and discoloration.

THERMAL BARRIER COATINGS

Applying thermal barrier coatings significantly reduce heat transfer of components that operate at elevated temperatures. Thermal barrier ceramic coatings are used extensively in the automotive, commercial truck, heavy equipment and performance racing industries. High performance thermal barrier coatings increase performance, reduce maintenance cost and protect against corrosion. AZ Custom Coatings thermal Barrier coating can alter heat transfer by up to 15% depending on the specific application. Piston domes, combustion chambers, and valve faces are excellent for thermal barrier  coatings.

HEAT DISSIPATION COATINGS

Heat dissipation coatings transfer heat away from a substrate, resulting in improved efficiency, performance and longevity of the coated parts. This ceramic bonded, thermal conductive coating also helps to prevent corrosion and damage related to chemical and solvent attack. Heat dissipation coatings are used extensively in the transportation and electronics industries to reduce residual heat from components. Radiators, brake drums oil coolers, differentials, transmission cases, transmission coolers, lighting equipment, heat exchangers and air conditioning condensers are excellent for heat dissipation coatings.
